Draft — pending legal review

This document is a structural placeholder, not final legal text. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and should not be relied on or published to real customers until it has.

Acceptable Use Policy

This document has no effective date yet — see the notice above.

Prohibited uses

  • Using the service for any unlawful purpose, or to violate any person's rights.
  • Attempting to access another organization's data, or to bypass access controls.
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the service without prior written authorization.
  • Scraping, reverse engineering, or reselling access to the service.
  • Uploading malicious code or content.

Clinical responsibility

Alcove's AI features are an aid to documentation, not a substitute for clinical judgment. A clinician must review and approve any AI-drafted note before it becomes part of a client's record, and remains responsible for the clinical decisions made in the course of care.

Account security

A practice is responsible for keeping staff credentials confidential, enabling multi-factor authentication where required, and promptly reporting any suspected unauthorized access.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates this policy, particularly where client data or the security of the service is put at risk.
